The Omaha Critic

You live in a city for years… spend vast amount of time on the internet looking for food sites.  I have Googled a multitude of phrases trying to find something in Omaha worth looking at.  I finally found something awesome!  It’s another web site;  Kindred spirits if you will.

That site is “Gastronomic Fight Club”. 

I start reading it, trying to see what they have and it’s fantastic.  They had a contest to see who could do Omaha in $40 a day.  It was great.  They are all Foodies!  I have yet to really get into the meat of the site, but what I saw was an awesome example of people not being led around by the sleek glamour of chain restaurants.  These were people who enjoyed food for what it is… beautiful happiness on a plate or in a bowl.

Thanks to G.F.C. for giving us something good for Omaha!

   Glad to have another foodie here in Omaha. Sorry it took so long to find us, I’m always working on that. Feel free to submit a $40 a Day menu; I’ll add it to the ones we already got.

   Also, since I know they are sometimes hard to find, I’ve complied a list of restaurants in Omaha that have websites. If you find any that are missing, let me know.
